pick a pay loan w/ zero equity (need help bank wont)
I have a pick a pay loan through the wonderful Wells Fargo(AKA Wachovia) My loan is 230K and its maybe worth 130k (GULP!) I'm looking to either refinance or get a complete new loan. Pretty anything to get me out of this darn pick a pay. I've contacted "wells fargo" and they said they can't do anything because Wachovia still ownes the loan so you would have to contact them (Wachovia) not wells Fargo. So maybe someone out there can either let me know if Wachovia has a number to contact that isn't connected to wells fargo (because all the numbers i called there wells fargo but that is what I thought happens when companions merge together)or direct me to someone that can help me get out of this loan my payments are fine but my mortgage balance keeps getting larger. Please help wells fargo isn't helping me at all.

There is no Wachovia, Wells Fargo owns them. Wells Fargo bought Wachovia. Whoever you spoke to is an idiot. Call them back and tell them since Wachoiva doesn't exist anymore, and they won't take ownership of the loan, then you'll stop paying on it. See what they say then.
