Hello,
I have a list of medical accounts that were sent to a collection agency from the same meidcal office. The medical office didn't have correct contact information for me, thus the bills they sent out went unpaid. I was unware of these accounts until I pulled my credit report. I called the collection agency and made payment arrangements. I have since read that this may cause more harm than good to my credit. I didn't realize I could negotiate with the collection agency, I was trying to make good on my debt. I was preparing to buy a house, but my credit score dropped 85 points with the addition of these six separate entries on my report. My question now,has has anyone had any luck with having medical accounts deleted from their credit report once they have been paid? If so, what was your course of action?
