i received an offer from Discover to consolidate all my debt at a fairly decent APR. The only reviews I have found are on people who have bank accounts with them. Does anyone have any reviews on this or has anyone been offered this and taken it? Thoughts?

I took advantage of 0% balance transfer from discover, $5,000, to pay down 14% C.C. It hurt my credit score by over 20 points, although I'm saving $50.00 a month in finance charges? I don't understand. My C.C. utilization is 20% on 2 cards, but the discover is 75% even though it is 0%. There formula for credit scores does not take that into account. All I know is I'd do it again, screw the experts. LOL

I can't speak to the value of the specific offer. But I've been a Discover customer for nearly 20 years and can tell you they're one of the best companies I've ever done business with. Great customer service. Rarely make mistakes. Their bank pays a decent interest rate, too.
