I'm no expert, but when I was a nanny (and babysat for 2 weeks during the summer while the parents were away), they left me cash and a prepaid card. Luckily, we had no injuries or emergencies :) Enjoy your vacation!

ahhhh..i just realized something...i've always paid my balance before receiving the statement. is that why it shows no utilization?

hmm, i'm not so sure...i was denied credit (citibank) with the only reason being "no revolving accounts with a balance"..not even "insufficient history" or anything...i do have a credit card that i pay in full before the due date each month so, of course, i don't show a balance. i hope that the pif advice pays off in the long run. btw, i even faxed a copy of my credit report showing my cc activity but never received a response, good or bad, so maybe not getting the card was for the best (since i've read many negative things about citibank).

lol wow...just the insinuation behind that belief is ridiculous, booney. come on now...geez. race has nothing to do with borrowing power. the ability to pay your debts does. btw, my middle number is odd. ugh, humanity.

i just read somewhere that the vantage score counts recent credit more highly than credit history, i suppose, in an effort to give those without much credit history a chance.
