Give me ND, keep your Texas/Texicho.  I won't press one for English.

Discover® More Card - $50 Cashback Bonus

Approved for $4000.00 CL. CK score 697, 6+ yrs. credit hx., $60,000.00 income, 98% on time payments (100% past 5 years), BK still on record but will be off January 2012, 17% CC utilization, 0% transfer fee (but 4% of transfer) for 12 months, 0% interest on purchases for 6 months.  I plan to transfer my 24% interest rates to this card and try to get it all paid off in 12 months.  Not sure what the APR will be after the 12 months.  Happy so far......time will tell. I did get a pre-authorization in the mail for this card.

Has Credit Karma helped anyone improve their score?

No, I paid down alot of my debt (now less than 20%), AND I disputed some items on my credit report. I also monitor this site daily, as well as paying for my 3 credit scores for a few months to see what's happening with it.  I will stop the 3 credit bureau reports when I am over 700 or so at all three bureaus.

Crdit card approval after BK

Thanks, but I do have an orchard card and the limit is only 850.00 (zero balance). I also have 2 capital one cards (one $5800.00 cl, one $3000.00 CL). And I have a Juniper card ($1500.00 CL) which has an interest rate of 7.9%. I'll probably just request a higher credit limit on that.  I am mainly just looking to transfer about $2500.00 to a lower interest or no interest for 18 months card. My credit utilization is currently at 19%

I am up around 30 points in 6 weeks, and working on  more (sent letters to the 3 bureaus for "late payments" that were reported AFTER an account was paid and closed).  Score is now around 700 for transunion, should be higher for the others.

Credit Scores By State

The numbers change each month (per the moderator). I see Wisconson and ND and NJ have the best scores so far....as of today.  I can tell you that ND state gov. has a budget surplus (for several years now).   ND is also fairly conservative, and has alot of obese. It's cold, so it keeps the indigant and minorities out. It's pretty much all English speaking.  I'll put it this way...ND keeps the "Rif- Raf" OUT!

When I look at this today....it appears NJ has 687 and ND has 685 which were the highest I could find. Of course, the economy has changed and I think the percentages have also. ND also has a surplus budget and is not in the financial trouble that most states are as a government.

Transunion score different from CreditKarma score?

I have signed up on the "trial basis" for the credit scores, received my scores, and then immediately cancelled my trial membership (with a confirmation number and name of the employee of course).

Why does paying consecutively for 24 months lower my score in the simulator?

Still flawed here too. Most of the inormation is great......just not THAT particular aspect of the simulator!

You need to go to check your free annual credit reports, which will tell you what creditor is claiming what.  If you have already "used" your free annual credit reports (from the 3 agencies), you'd have to pay for these reports. I got my free annual reports and noticed I had 4 late payments recorded from a credit card that had been closed 2 years earlier.  I have just written to all 3 credit bureaus and the credit card company to inform them of their mistake.  I should go from a D on the credit report card for "late payments" to a B once this information is removed.

Chase Freedom® Visa

Can you apply for the chase freedom, get that, and transfer your other chase balance to the 0% card?
