If you can get this or any other card with 0% BTs do it.

Credit cards make their money on these offers when you miss a payment or when you use the card to charge other things.

When you miss a payment, you lose your rate instantly. When you use the card for transaction, they apply your payment to the items with the lowest rate and you accrue interest on your purchase.

I read thru the Terms and conditions and could not find any additional info on what is meant by Automatic Rewards - so will pass on this offer

If you google AmEx clear rewards, you can find out what "Automatic Rewards" is:

Automatic Rewards. You'll Get an American Express Branded Shopping Card Worth $25 Delivered Straight to Your Door Every Time You Spend $2,500

Essentially, it's 1% cash back on purchases via an AmEx gift card.

If you buy things on in a foreign currency you will be charged a 2% convince fee. The Blue cards don't have this fee.

5.99%.... not too shabby nowadays when credit card companies are raising rates for no reason!

I currently have 3 credit cards with, between them all, a balance of about $6000. Each card has above a 20% APR (even though they started out low, I've never paid late and my score here is 792). Anyway, I'm currently looking to consolidate. I was thinking about applying at a local Federal Credit Union where loan rates start at 8.5%.. until I found this offer. Should I transfer my balance to this card? It looks like an amazing deal but I've been burned by credit card companies before and don't want to end up in an even bigger mess. Help!

The fine print shows that I could get a 6 or 12-month 0% APR on purchases. The fine print showed nothing that bothered me since I don't intend on transferring balances, and would pay off my purchases within the given time period of 0% APR.

One Thumb up!...if the place you purchase from accepts AMEX.

Applied, accepted with a $69 K limit. Than tried to transfer $ 7K and was declined. Called the rude folks in the Credit Dept. to challenge reasons for decline. Reasons: Too many inquiries, have a total of four and one is AMX's. Too high card balances, Have over a $1/2 M in card credit with only $7K on one card I wanted to transfer. No other debt period!

They kept referring to the Card Member agreement giving them the right to refuse transfers. This was an unacceptable answer and is a sort of Bait and Switch.
