What We Are Looking For:

  • 8+ years of product management experience or related industry experience

We are seeking an experienced hands-on AWS Connect and IVA/IVR Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS Connect and Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA)/Interactive Voice Response (IVR) solutions. As a Software Engineer your role will be to own and drive our continued scaling in the U.K. and contribute to key decisions along the way that will influence our entire organisation.

  • Provide technical leadership for the Risk & Payments Data Science team by enhancing the impact of others and playing an active role in fostering a culture of ownership and autonomy.
  • Lead the credit risk data science initiatives for the new and evolving CK Money product offerings focusing on the lending domain, including complete hands-on ownership of the model lifecycle, ownership of success and key results at the program-level, and driving the technical strategy and strategic decisioning roadmap across all involved teams.

  • Create high quality user experiences that aim to help our members make financial progress through creating new features that bring people back to Credit Karma, experiences that help members find the right card for them and marketplace offer tiles 
  • Lead complex projects with large scope. You will be expected to lead the design thinking process, from conducting user research to identify customer needs, to crafting and iterating on design solutions, wireframes and high fidelity prototypes
  • Leverage data and analytics to generate member-focused hypotheses for iterative product experimentation
  • Create experiments around hypotheses that gain learning from research or insights to identify new areas for our business
  • Communicate excellently, conveying design ideas and solutions through both verbal and visual means, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and team
  • Uphold design standards, patterns, processes, and behaviors across our platforms
  • Partner closely with product managers, business leads, researchers, and analysts to explore and identify opportunities to solve member problems

Minimum Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant product design experience
  • Proficient in Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD or similar
  • Demonstrated experience shipping user centered products
  • Case studies of several projects in market, showing strong examples of discovery and iteration

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a designer working in fintech/credit cards
  • Experience designing products that fit into complex systems and user journeys
  • Experience partnering with researchers to gain insight and develop strategies to deliver high impact approaches 
  • Ability and experience with a mobile first design approach
  • A demonstrated history of leveraging data collection mechanisms to create meaningful product experiences

Credit Karma is looking for an experienced employment counsel who is passionate about all things employment.  As Employment Counsel, you will proactively assess legal risks and advise on employment issues. You will work closely with other members of the Legal and People teams and leaders across the organization to effectively manage risk and help the company scale. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide advice/counsel on a variety of employment topics such as performance management, leaves of absence, accommodations, wage and hour, DEI, internal investigations, reorganizations, redundancy and role eliminations
  • Assist in building out and maintaining a confidential, one-stop shop HR-Legal Hub with access to various resources
  • Develop and conduct training for employees, managers, and the People team
  • Advise on employment matters, both domestically and internationally, including state and federal compliance (e.g., ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, WARN Act and state/municipal equivalents), disciplinary actions, wage & hour issues, investigations and disability accommodation
  • Investigate and respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment-related inquiries
  • Actively monitor new laws, regulations and decisions affecting the substantive areas of employment law and litigation and provide strategic advice to relevant stakeholders
  • Respond to day-to-day policy issues raised within the organization and, according to circumstances, provide guidance and recommendations for resolution
  • Draft and negotiate offer letters and employment-related agreements, including severance, separation, restrictive covenant, retention and other agreements
  • Draft employee-facing policies, handbooks and other resources, enhance our processes and forms
  • Support resolution of federal, state and local agency claims and charges
  • Provide employment law support for mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures
  • Manage employment arbitrations and litigation, including developing litigation strategy and selecting and managing outside counsel
  • Manage outside counsel on employment matters

Minimum Base Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Valid state bar membership and the ability to practice in-house in North Carolina or California
  • 7+ years of experience as counsel focused on labor and employment matters, advising on Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and California state equivalents
  • Demonstrated ability to handle both complex legal analysis and nuts and bolts program design and project management
  • Ability to evaluate risk in light of business and practical considerations and make clear and concise recommendations
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks effectively and independently
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within the Legal and People teams. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior in-house experience preferred
  • Experience as an employment litigator, representing companies in disputes
  • Proficiency with California employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with technology or fast-paced startups, including the ability to think creatively, exercise sound judgment, and make clear recommendations to support business partners and cross-functional stakeholders
