Inquiries

If you apply for a credit card, whether you are approved or denied, it will always count as an inquiry.  Inquiries represent 10% of your credit score and are tracked over a 12 month period.  You will want to avoid having to many inquiries.  Generally under 6 a year has small impact on your credit and starts escalating heavily after 6.
