Probably not. If a person has "thin credit" or is new to building credit, getting added as an authorized user on an established card can help them with credit lines and with "average age of accounts". So that is what you are thinking there, but in the case of a person with bad credit, doing this probably will not do much and besides that you have to look like a fool asking someone to add you to an account. The person with bad credit must work to rebuild it on their own. There is all kinds of info on this site and all over the internet on how to rebuild credit. If you have any specific questions on how to do it, feel free to ask.
