Word up about CK insurance score
Credit Karma should label these score “for education purpose only” My credit scores are solid; my wife’s credit scores are poor. (TU and Advantage) My wife’s was in a fender bender 6 months ago, I’ve have had a clean record for over 10 years. Her insurance score are 51 and 17 points higher… go figure. Six months ago I ask to have my insurance rates recalculate based on my improved credit score. My rates went down on both my home and auto by over 25%. Knowing that my wife’s CK insurance scores were higher, I ask Travelers to run the rates again based on what I thought were her higher CK insurance score. Travelers told me to leave my name first on the policy. Travelers told me they use their own proprietary system in rating their clients. Moral of the story, “for education purpose only”. Next time you are looking for a quote….. run your rates under both his and her credit scores.
