Will these Banks still have access to my credid files after I placed "Security Freeze"?
I recently become a victim of Identity theft. the perpetrator(s) attempted to open at least a dozen of new credit card accounts with Bank of America, Citibank, Capital One, Wells Fargo, Chase, BarClayCard, etc. All these banks made hard inquiries during Feb, 2017 to May 2017. 2 Banks refuse to withdraw their hard inquires even I contacted them about Identity theft, one is Capital One, the other is CBNA, these inquiries will remain on my credit report until March 2019. I ordered "Credit Freeze" on May 10, 2017. My question is, will these 2 banks or other banks that made inquiries before still be able to check my credit? You see, Security Freeze does not prevent "Credit Karma" from retrieving my report, so I wonder if these banks will have the same access although they are not my creditors. I'm concerned b/c I believe the Identity Thieves will not stop attempting open new accounts or selling my personal info to more Perpetrators. my local police said the thieves will never get caught.
