Will legally changing my name hurt my credit score?
My mother and biological father divorced when I was an infant. I was adopted by my step-father so I would have his last name. Now that I am older, I have been connecting with my family on my biological fathers side and I want to change my last name back to my original birth name. If I do this will it adversely effect my credit score?
Perhaps this sounds overly cautious, but it seems like your credit score can be affected by just about anything these days.
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards
