Will a GUARANTOR keep me from earning credit on a housing lease?
I had to get a Guarantor for a lease on an apartment. Will that negate any positive effects on my rental credit?

Most rental properties

DO NOT report to the Credit Bureaus.  So it should have no effect at all.  The only proprerty managers that report tend to be very large complexes owned by large corporations.

The credit bureaus do not keep records on rentals for the most part, but if you lose an apartment and owe money they certainly will report that for collections.

Good luck
