Why should I be penalized by a credit report because i do not use credit cards?
My old credit cards were settled during the foreclosure, I don't have any credit cards. I don't want them.

A credit report is based on credit. If you don't have any credit, then you're not going to have a high score.

because that's the way it is. maybe it's not fair. maybe it's wrong. but it doesn't change the way it is. now, keep in mind it's not impossible to get credit without credit scores. there is something called alternative credit. in this way, you build your own credit report. you get payment history from all accounts you have. utilities, phone bills etc. some companys will accept this in place of a traditional credit report. if you want traditional credit scores, you have to play the game.
