It's actually a new feature for CreditKarma to report the Equifax scores (it's been about 3 months).  Prior to that, it was just TransUnion.  Not sure why specifically CK doesn't report the Experian scores, but it's likely to do with behind the scenes legalities...

Keep in mind that the scores on this site are "VantageScore 3.0" and not one of the variations of "FICO" that majority of credit issuers use.  This site is more of a learning site, allowing you to also monitor changes to your score from one week to another.  Any dramatic change in score is a result of something "happening" on your credit report.  Helps you to keep a closer eye on things.

Just my food for thought...  I hope my answer helped you.

FICO score is the primary information. Why would CK use the "Vantsge Score 3.0", if it is NOT one of the variations that credit score issuers use? Makes no sense. Experian doesn't participate because of legalities? Or perhaps they do not participate because they want us to pay for the release of the credit score. After it is all about $$$$$$$$$$!

I am now realizing that CK dispalyed scores are of little use or is a poor guage in determining your best chance for success in applying for rent or loans. The score is waaaaaayyyyy off when compared to what Experian shows and the creditors pull.

Yes these scores are bogus. Compared to what you get if you get a real credit score when you apply, they are usually at least 40-60 pts off for me!

Isn't Vantage Score 3.0 a calculation of all 3 companies? How is this accurate if credit karma only provides information on 2 of them?

Which brings the bigger question. Why is Experian left out of the information provided to credit karma users?
