The student loan remains part of your credit history for 7-7.5 years.  If tyou do not, norm have not had a mortgage, you need to file a dispute with the credit bureaus showing this.  If you did have a mortgage,it can remain on your credit report as part of the history for up to ten years.  Reading the information on credit provided by- Credit Karma will make your lifetime credit life much easier, as I have discovered.                                                 ''''
