Why do creditors only use Transamerica for hard inqiries instead of Equifax that hurts my score.
It seems to me that to use both sources equally for hard inqiries would result in less impact on my credit score.

First, it is Transunion, not Transamerica. The three credit bureaus are Transunion, Equifax and Experian. As far as which credit bureau a lender pulls from, that is up to them. Some lenders will actually pull from all three credit bureaus. If you are looking for financing you should do some research (google search) on lenders that you are thinking of applying with to see what credit bureau that they usually pull from, sometimes it will depend on what part of the country you are in, so keep that in mind.
