The articles here explain this very well and it isn't rocket science.  The more credit you are granted, the better your score can be, dep3ending also on how wisely you use credit.  When you close a card, you remove that card's credit limit from your total limit, so your score will drop.  You have been here a little longer than I have so.  Please take the time to read and learn, since the expressed purpose of Credit Karma isw to TEACH how credit works and the only time it's too late to learn is when one dies.
