why did my credit score go down 14 points?

Without seeing your report or information on your file there's no way to answer this. Some possibly reasons could be, an increase in your utilization (higher card balances), a new credit inquiry, an old closed account in good standing may have dropped off your credit report (after 7 years this can be done).

Although it can be irritating 14 points isn't much. Credit scores are in constant transition, so unless you plan to apply for a loan or line of credit I wouldn't worry about it much.
