Why did a person at equifax tell me that my cc debt won't come off for 6 years even if the SOL is 4?
She said that it wouldn't come off my report for 6 years because it was a collection acct

If you took advantage of the chance to learn about credit by reading the articles presented on this site, then you would know that accounts remain a part of your credit history for 7 years before falling off.  The SOL is the length of time from first delinquency that a creditor may sue to collect.  That rep at Equifax needs to read these articles, too.
