I had a bankrupcy in 2010 and it just showed up again as a negative public record this month. Lowered my score by 35 points. Why is it showing up again as a new public record. It should be ready to go off.

There's no real way to dispute it; public record is public record, even if it's late in arriving to your credit reports.

However, there is some good news: If it's dated from 2010 *and* it is a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, it should drop off your reports anyway sometime this year. If it's a Chapter 7 bankruptcy from 2010, it'll fall off in 2020.
