Why are the Credit Karma credit scores so far off?
My credit score has shown for the last 45 days on Bank of America and Chase Bank as 721. It shows consistently in Credit Karma as 634. They're both from the same credit reporting agency - TransUnion. I checked with TransUnion directly - my score is 721. Why is CreditKarma so far off from the TransUnion reported score (this is not recent - it has been this way for at least 45 days). Same thing with Equifax - with Credit Karma - it shows as 620. With Equifax directly - it shows as 715.

It's simply a matter of different ways of calculating, as explained in the articles here, which are well worth reading for those who truly want to know how credit works.  And the scores ghere stay here.
