It depends on the type of loan you are trying to obtain.  If it is a mortgage I would suggest fixing your credit first  1  877  235  0324  Credit Pros, they also offer an independent mortgage company to work with once finished.  If you are looking to boost your credit score, you can also try to get a secure credit card, and make monthly payments, but not to charge over 30 percent of the credit limit. Do this for a couple of months and your score will increase.  You can also try to finance a small piece of furniture and pay it off over time. This will help improve your credit as well.  Car loans, the best route is to go to a local bank or credit union and get approved for a loan, then go car shopping with the amount you know you can afford, this way you can negotiate the total cost of the car to a lower amount because you will be paying cash for it....
