Where to get the best rate?
I am going to be financing a used car soon and I would like to have the auto loan fully in my name. My last car was in my mother-in-law's name so we could get a much better interest rate. While that was great for our interest rate, I am kind of annoyed that my 4 years of on time payments go toward her credit rating and not mine. I have basically no credit history. Would it be better to go to my personal bank or just to a car dealership to get my auto loan? Thanks for your help.
