Bankruptcy is a bad mark on your credit for 10 years.  I suggest learning better money management so this is unlikely to happen again.  You do realize, I hoipe, that home ownership is more expensive than renting?  There is always something that breaks down or needs repair and there is the proiperty taxes, homeowners association fees, and homeowner's insurance with strong liability coverage.  Think about that while working on rebuilding your credit, because you sure do not want a foreclosure to happen.

I am sure that you would be eligible now with some mortgage lenders, but if October is the 2 year mark, maybe wait until then for a better selection of lenders.
