when do you know it is a good time too file bankrupcy
i have a lot of old bad credit and want too get rid of it and try starting over andy suggestions

 If you know that your debt is too large to payoff within a 3-5 year time, sometimes it is best to get rid of the burden and start fresh.  Also age is a factor here.  If your working years are going to end within 7-10 years, then maybe it is a good idea, and then focus on saving for your retirement rather than paying off unmanageable debt.
