when account is taken off your credit report how does that change your score

That all depends on the account.

When you say "account is taken off your report" it all depends on the type of account and why it was removed.  If it was a collections account, that will have a positive effect.  If it was an account that was closed and has aged out, falling off your report because it has been closed for 7 years, you will lose points toward the age of your accounts. There are a few other reason that accounts would be removed but with out specifics it would be hard to guess the effects on your score.
