Verizon did a hard on me. I have 11months to go before it falls off.

Sprint did a hard inquiry from Experian, despite the agent saying it was a 'soft pull'. :(

Routinely, it should be a hard inquiry, although depending on how they code it it could be a soft inquiry.   its really up to the cell phone provider.   I would expect a hard inquiry.   You won't see any reporting of your payment history on your credit report after that time.
