Usually when you pay off and close accounts you can expect scores to DECREASE. Open and active credit is what builds and maintains good credit. Open accounts in good standing are where credit scoring systems reward you the most. Do some reading on all of this to find out more.

I think there is a feature on this site that allows you to see for yourself. Its called  Credit Score Simulator.

I would not put much trust in that simulator!!
