what is the difference from you closing a cc or the company closing becuz of inactivity?
I had an open credit card account that has not been used since 2009 (no balance on it) and the company closed the account recently. Does that show differently on my credit reports than if I would have closed the accounts myself?

inactive accounts

Should I close my inactive accounts?  If so, will it hurt my credit?

It might say closed my customer if you did it.  but score wise it does not make a difference.
