The Statute of Limitations is the time limit for creditors/collection agencies  to sue for the amount owed. The account will shown on your credit report for 7.5 years past the day when it first was late, then it will drop of  I suggest taking the time to read the articles on this site like I have so you can understand credit.. I learned more here than in the college business classes I took.
