What if any is the benefit of having two AMEX cards?

I don't have any and am doing just fine with the other cards I have.

It depends if you're using them for various rewards and perks, making sure any perks outweigh a yearly fee if applicable.  If you're not using both to great advantage, then call their customer service and ask to close one and transfer the credit limit to the one you'll keep, so as not to reduce your credit availability.

If you don't want either, then I suggest you research a card from a lender which offers perks that fit your lifestyle; apply and obtain it before closing out others.
