what do i do if i tried paying a debt off but they wont except my payments
i owe a debt i contacted the collection agency and asked to set up payments to pay off this debt and they told me i cant for the reason they only have 1 more month with this collection what do i do now

They must be planning on selling your account to another debt collection company by next month or they are just unwilling to make payment arrangements. You could probably dispute the account to have it removed from your reports on the grounds that they will not accept payments, but it will most likely get removed when they sell the account anyway, but the new collection company will probably pop up on your reports to replace it, unless they agree to not post it to the credit bureaus in exchange for your payment. Did you ask this collection company why they will not have the account in a month? I would do that so you know what is going on. Be aware that it is usually not a good idea to do payment plans with debt collectors, so make sure of the terms and interest if you enter any. Do some research on "Statute of Limitations to be sued for debt" "pay for delete agreements" "credit reporting time period of 7 years" "paying old debt" "dealing with debt collectors".
