What can you do when your ex husband is delinquent on paying the mortgage that's his debt per decree
The debt was ordered as his debt but has both names on the loan. Tried to get him I refinance but he was unable to. How can I keep this from negatively effecting my credit score. Everything else that is my debt is paid on time no delinquencies. Please advise, thank you!

Decree

Even though the courts are making your exhusband pay the mortgage, the bank doesn't have to take your name off the loan. You both applied for it together and until he can refinance under his name all alone, you will suffer with this.

Bottom Line: The bank still looks at the loan as a joint account whether or not you two are together and has nothing to do with your divorce decrees.
