what can you do if you have a lot of inquiries (hard pulls)
just let if fall off after 2years? or does it really matter?

Hard inquiries will stay on your credit report for 2 years, though their effect on your credit score typically lasts 6-12 months. Applying for new credit in moderation or only when you really need to will bring the number of inquiries back down.
