Hard to answer without more information. Do you have current debt? No credit at all? Bad credit?

If you have current/outstanding debt/creditcards/loans/etc:

- Make on-time payments of all accounts. Don't be 30 days late or more on *anything*.

- Avoid opening new lines of credit

- Pay down as much of your debt as you can

If you have bad credit or no credit:

- Open a secured credit card and a secured loan with a bank. Use limits you can afford (a few hundred dollars on each is a good start)

- Make on-time payments

It will take time to build your credit. There's no quick-fix. Bad accounts will fall off your credit report in 7 years from the date it was last reported. Bankruptcy will take 10 years.
