We've been debt free for 7 years and this is hurting us...why?
We HAD in July 2011 credit scores of 816 with Equifax, 839 with Experian and 809 with TransUnion. Because we have been debt free for 7 years without any revolving credit we are being punished by the reporting agencies and lenders. Our credit score now is only 723. We pay our utilities ahead or on time and now that we want to retire and enjoy life we can't get a loan to do so. Unfortunately our investments are tied up for another 5 years. How do we improve our credit score?
Thank you :)
