utilization of my c.c.
my Chase cc has refused to lower the APR. Before my husband died, he used my card - since then I never use it to purchase items because I wanted to eventually pay it off. Chase statement shows I have a utilization of that card every month - I NEVER use it. How do I deal with this situation?

If there is a balance on the card then you are utilzing the card.  It is the amount owed/total amount of credit.  SO pay them off and then you will not be utilizing that Chase card anymore.
