Updating credit information
I have already sent CreditKarma a message, but have a question that its site most likely won't quickly respond to. Since reviewing my credit information here this morning, I have reduced the credit limit on a mastercard from $20,000 to $12,000 and closed two open but unused accounts via telephone (credit limits were $5,000 and $4,000 total). Thus, I have today effectively lowered my 'available credit' by $17,000, always a great way to improve a credit score when done voluntarily. My question is: Will CreditKarma update my credit information when they receive the message I sent them today or will they be required to wait until the information shows up on my actual legal credit report (typically takes 30-45 days, I think)? Anyone here know the answer to this one? Thanks much! Lynne
