Two derogatory marks on my credit-New-Removal
I have been reported to collections for $1450, which I am intending to pay with income taxes. However, I would like to have the derogatory mark removed from my credit score. I read an article that states I can ask them to remove the derogatory remark once payment is received. The article also recommended to hire a lawyer who would do this for me. However, I lack the funds to hire a lawyer to sort this out for me. Is this a probable course of action? I would like to know before I actually make my payment, since the agency would be unlikely to cooperate.
