Transunion slow to update credit balances?
TU reported credit balances are a full month behind Equifax. Credit card company says numbers are pulled by reporting agency, not pushed through by lender. How often does TU update? I could file a dispute with TU but their web site says it takes at least 30 days to resolve so what would be the point?

Statement closing date....

Helpful to 4 out of 4 people

CC companies report the current balance on statement closing dates.  (maybe next day)

From what I have seen, Experian always updates first.  Lets say my closing date is today....in a week or so, it will report as JULY.  In September, it shows August & so on.

Usually takes about 7 business days for all 3 to update.

Thanks but I'm still a little confused as to why EQ shows BofA reporting August 10, but TU shows BofA reporting July 10.  Shouldn't they both say BofA reported an update on the same day?

One more thing....

Helpful to 2 out of 3 people

From the looks of it, Experian & Equifax have updated your last statement info & TU will get it there within a couple days.

The 3 do not update on the same day.  They're usually all updated within a week or so of each other.

I bet right now your TU isn't showing the same balance as EQ.  EQ has updated & TU will any day now.
