TransUnion says my credit is bad. I went to buy a $30 phone and left with $1200 worth of stuff. ????

What's the question?  What does the latter have to do with the former?  Maybe you just need to budget and stick to it.

You went to buy $30 worth of merchandise and instead bought $1200 worth of merchandise because you could. Unless you are buying a home or automobile, if you cannot afford to pay cash, you cannot truly afford it. Credit problems are spending problems. I am not picking on you, but you really need to think about things and your future, your future self will thank you for good decisions today.
