Use it or initiate a dispute

IF a credit card is stuck in some awkward place from a balance perspective (I'm looking at you Synchrony!) you can generally do one of two things: use it to trigger a statement update and a report on the next cycle, or dispute it.

Disputing it sadly in this case the lender has 30 days to rectify it... which means they'll sit on their hands, do nothing, and generate a statement anyway.  Better is to just use it, show some activity to the lender to keep the closure fairy away, and go on with life.
