tax liens were removed & put in hardship category.Why still on report and what do I do.?
the IRS put the taxes I owe into hardship category and they removed the lien so shouldn't it be off my credit report?

It is part of your credit history and will remain for about 7 years.

You have to send a special form to the IRS to get them to withdraw the lien.  Go to the IRS website and look for form number 12277.  Fill it out best you can and send it to the IRS office you've been dealing with.  They'll send you back another form which you can send the bureaus showing they released the lien.  Best of luck!
