Tax identity theft
I have found out that a state tax return was filed in Maryland in 2010. I have never been to Maryland. Also I have a tax lien on a house in Maryland that I have never owned. I have my IRS transcripts to prove this but when I call the state to try to resolve this, nobody can help me. How can I get this removed from my credit? My tax returns are going to be applied to this tax lien that isn't really mine.
