Student Loan Discharge?
we filed bankruptcy two months ago and was told that student loans were not dischargeable. upon checking my credit karma credit reports all student loans on both reports now show a zero balance, nothing due, account closed and in remarks it says bankruptcy chapter 7/bankruptcy petition, I have had these loans for roughly 10 years and am wondering if it were possible that they were included in the discharge?

Not likely.

Unless the law has changed (and that would be a big news flash!!) student loans remain collectable until paid in full and are not dischargable in bankruptcy.  They may have been put into a deferrment classification and you likely will be receiving collection notices after the ten years is up.  Your bankruptcy attorney should have advised you about this.
