statute of limitations
what is statute of limitations on a credit card in Georgia..just got a letter saying i had one in 2009 in which i didnt..also it said..The Law limits how long you can be sued on a debt.because of the age of my debt , we will not sue you for it, we will not report it to any credit reporting agency, and payment or non-payment of this debt will not affect my credit score

six years... So they are right, they cannot do anything to you.  But if you try to get a morgage it might come back to bite you.

Hopefully you have read the articles provided by this site since teaching about how credit works is Credit Karma's primary purpose. You will have to do a Google search on the statute of limitations for collections and find out what it is for your state.  Also, get copies of all three credit reports and see what is on them.  File disputes on all WRONG information with the credit bureau reporting it.

Don't know why someone would send a letter like what you reported.  Sounds like they hope you will pay, even if the debt is no longer collectable.

What **** me off is..its has affect my credit score..its still on it...i know its Fraud just trying to prove its dam hard
