Should I pay off student loan in full now, or do rehabilitation? Best option to improve credit
Trying to resolve my wifes defaulted student loan debt and wondering if the best option to improve credit will be to do the compromise, one lump payment, or do the rehabilitation process?

The faster the loans are paid, the better.  If the loan servicer offers a settlement and you can afford to make that lump sum payment, that would be the best option.

I agree with jw, if you can get it paid off in one lump sum, that would be the way to go.
