Score drops 100pts as 25yr paymt history erased after BoA swallows bank & cancels card -- Any fix?
My credit score dropped over 100 points when BoA gobbled up MBNA
and canceled my $30,000 MBNA mastercard.

To add insult to injury,
Last year I opened a AAA autoclub loyalty credit card
to get a discount on my AAA membership
coincidentally administered by BoA,
and after 6 months of on time payments,
BoA declined my request to increase my credit line from the introductory 2,500 limit !

I charge about $5,000 per month on two cards
and pay the balance every month
so I have NOT had any late payments nor finance charges
in the six years of credit history reported on CreditKarma.com
on my remaining cards

Question 1

Is there anything I can do to restore the 100 points to my credit score
that BoA robbed from me by buying my bank and cancelling the program
thus erasing my 25 year on-time payment history ??

Question 2

Can my local BoA branch manager do anything to help my BoA credit limit,
or should I just move my previous-MBNA now-BoA retirement accounts
(in the high 5 figures) to a different bank
if the bank across the street offers me a no-fee credit card with a higher limit?
