Hi tdavis378,

There are a couple of factors to consider here. In general, the more credit available to you, the better. It's an indicator of creditworthiness and helps to lower your credit card utilization rate. However, some lenders require a hard credit inquiry before granting you a larger line of credit, which can temporarily ding your score.
